Derek is a digital producer and brand strategist with an entrepreneurial spirit resulting from over 7 years of working with startups, lifestyle brands, and publishers to craft production strategies and multi-cultural campaigns in the USA and Asia.
Starting as a content creator for LMFAO in 2012, he moved to Taiwan and LA to build a high-performance team at travel media brand Black Buddha over the course of 4 years. In that time his creative direction secured repeat contracts with the likes of CNN Travel, Tripadvisor, K11/Nowness, Los Angeles Tourism Board, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Parkview Group, and more. He went on to launch Heat Index in late 2018.
Bryan is a multifaceted digital Strategist and designer, with a love for social and over 7 years of experience working closely with fortune 500 companies and large profile clients. Before Heat Index, Bryan started as a designer and worked up to a VP of Brand Management. He’s seen first hand what it takes to scale teams at a major agency over the course of 7 years.
As half of music production duo Bames, Bryan has released music on Fool’s Gold Records and been featured in a variety
of platforms including: the Rick Owens FW15 Sphinx women and men’s shows, TBS show ‘Search Party’, and a variety of mixes from some of the most popular DJ / Producers in the world. Half of the Heat Index founding team, Bryan is a capable and friendly leader with strong sense of aesthetic and multiplatform know-how.
